New Delhi: Opposition parties have been accusing the polling data related to the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections of being tampered with for some time. In response to these allegations, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajeev Kumar has reiterated that the polling data system is foolproof and there is no room for any errors. He strongly condemned previous allegations of malpractices in the polling process.
He emphasized that the Election Commission operates impartially and stated that the system would not tolerate any wrongdoing. Kumar clarified that the polling data system is organized and well-maintained. Speaking at the launch event of the 2024 Lok Sabha Atlas, he mentioned that millions of staff members, including polling booth officers, contribute to the polling data, leaving no room for mistakes. It is worth noting that opposition parties recently raised concerns about discrepancies in the polling data released by the Election Commission regarding the general elections.
